Another Step for Noble Cause
Polio Rally at Rotary Public School
To join the crusade to eradicate polio from the country, Rotary Public School organised a rally on Wednesday, 28th October 2015.
With a Nobel mission to spread awareness about the deadly disease ‘polio’, the school Managing Committee Members, the Principal Miss Gulshan Dewan, the Vice Principal Mrs Neera Sannoo and the staff members took along the battalion of the excited students and rallied from the school premises in sector 22 to Rejang la chock near Ansal’s Plaza.
This was an initiative aimed at the eradication of polio from India, by curbing it at the roots. Around 200 school children participated and went around the area with hoardings, shouting slogans and spreading awareness about the Pulse Polio Day.
The rally was intended to inform the public about the dangers of polio and remind them to bring children between the age group of 0 to 5 years to polio booths and get polio prevention drops.
The students carried placards with messages such as “Give polio drops, give healthy life,” “Year 2020: What! Polio? What is that?” “Eradicate polio and save human resources,” “Bye, Bye Mr. Polio,” “Save tomorrow’s generation” and “No more polio, no more sufferings” during the rally.
