The present generation had heard about Gandhi, learnt about Gandhi or even had talked about Gandhi, but for the first time they got the feel of Gandhi’s philosophy when they involved themselves practically and whole heartedly on 2nd October 2014 in the Gandhian Way. Under the supreme guidance of Rtn. O.P.Taneja, Vice-Chairman, School Managing Committee and Rtn. Surender Khullar, the Students Council, Interactors and members of the staff of Rotary Public School, Sec 22 dedicated themselves to the Cleanliness Drive by cleaning the vicinity of the school, whitewashing the boundary wall, and created awareness amongst the people by raising slogans and banners on the road side. They enthusiastically participated in the Cleanliness Drive and virtually felt elated the way they were paying tribute to the Father of the Nation. “We had been enjoying a holiday on 2nd October since ages but for the first time we felt the meaning of social service in a Gandhian Way” was the view of one of the students. The Principal, Miss Gulshan Dewan was of the opinion that such small practical changes may bring a revolution of sea change in the thinking , working and philosophy of the country.
